While this is unfortunate news to hear, we knew this was a possibility with this competitive grant. The commission takes every application under review and considers many factors before making a decision, including, but not limited to, how recently a municipality has received funding from the grant. The City of Rock Hill was awarded this grant for Turner Park in 2020.
We will continue to work towards our goal with the City of Rock Hill and Warson Woods to apply for the next round (round 24), in August of 2023. In the meantime, we will continue to do what we can to help bring a safe, inclusive and accessible playground to this community.
